Maternal Addiction Program
First Step Home's Maternal Addiction Program (MAP) is specially designed to meet the needs of pregnant or postpartum women in the early stages of sobriety, for up to one year after the birth of their child. The Maternal Addiction Program provides evidence-based wraparound services to address women's needs in recovery for substance use disorder and mental health issues. The program provides trauma-informed individual/group therapy, access to medical and prenatal care, and parenting and vocational education classes.
Participants learn valuable coping skills and address the core issues of their addiction, which helps to build a strong foundation for ongoing recovery. They also benefit from wraparound services in Residential Treatment, Intensive Outpatient Program and/or Outpatient Treatment care.
Hours and Days of Services
Our Maternal Addiction Program is staffed 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. Average length of stay varies based on a woman’s level of care and needed services.
