Board Members
Kyle Battistella
Kyle has over 20 years of experience in strategic sales, business development, and sustainability. She has held leadership roles at McDonald's Corp. and founded MidwestRoots, a consultancy helping sustainable food brands grow nationwide. Currently, Kyle manages Sales Planning at 80 Acres Farms and leads the company’s food service business.
Passionate about supporting women and their families in their journeys of recovery, she joined the Board in 2024. Kyle grew up in Cincinnati and moved back in 2016. She lives in Westwood with her husband.
Sara Breiel - Vice Chair
Sara Breiel worked in Banking for many years before moving to Cincinnati. She has been in Real Estate Sales with Comey & Shepherd for the last 20 years. She has served on the Board of First Step Home for six years where she works on Development and recruitment.
Jerel (Jeri) Colemon
Jerel (Jeri) Colemon has a Doctorate of Business Administration in Technology Entrepreneurship. She is a consultant in business systems and professional services and an educator in Cincinnati Public Schools. Jerel also has a corporate background in systems engineering, consulting, and client services management. Her passion is inspiring entrepreneurship and business ownership within organizations. Jerel serves as a board member of First Step Home and a trustee of Greater Liberty Baptist Church.
Gina Crowley - Treasurer
Gina Crowley has worked in the financial services industry for 24 years and is a Sr. Vice President with UBS Financial Services. She has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Xavier University and has previously served as a board member for various local non-profits. She looks forward to working with First Step Home and the women they serve.
Cameron Foster
Cameron Foster is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Addiction Services Council. In this role Cameron, supervise, develop and manages the day to day operations of the Addiction Services Council prevention department. He is responsible for productivity, and development outcomes. Cameron has over 29 years in the prevention science; he remains a trusted, knowledgeable, and reliable community resource.
Angie Hater - Chair
Angie Hater originally began her career as a construction management professional. Her projects mostly tackled single and multi-family homes, commercial construction, and urban rehabilitation. Since leaving the construction industry she has returned to her first love of art, which has been accepted at local, national, and international shows. Working with First Step home is Angie’s way of giving back to her community.
M. Maureen Heekin
M. Maureen Heekin is a retired social worker for Children’s Services within Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services. Her own recovery has helped her see the tremendous need for services for others. Ms. Heekin feels incredibly fortunate to contribute to First Step Home.
Jeff Hendricks
Jeff Hendricks is a partner with Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP. Mr. Hendricks has been involved with First Step Home since 2003, and has served as Board Chair and Secretary. He is a graduate of Xavier University and The University of Cincinnati College of Law.
Rob Morand
Rob Morand has been a member of the Board at First Step Home for over a decade, having served as both Treasurer and Secretary. He now serves as a member of the Finance Committee. Rob is looking forward to working with First Step Home through the many challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hugh O’Donnell - Secretary
Hugh O’Donnell is retired and previously served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Milacron LLC for many years. He has been involved with First Step Home as a board member and is currently serving as Secretary and is a member of the Finance Committee.
Griff Vollmer
Griff Vollmer joined the First Step Board of Directors in 2018, and currently serves on the Finance Committee. He lives in Cincinnati with his wife and two daughters.
Mary Schwaderer
Mary Schwaderer has a 40-year professional career in education serving as a teacher, reading specialist, curriculum coordinator and the last 20 years as principal of a school for mentally and physically challenged students from the age of three months to 21 years of age. After retirement Ms. Schwaderer served as a volunteer founding member of GLAD House Board and Executive Director and has served on the Board of First Step for 10 years including serving as President.
Eric Stuhldreher
Eric has spent most of his career working within the financial services industry: Fifth Third Bank, Bank of America and most recently at PNC as Senior Vice President. His current role is Senior Director of Operations at EyeMed Vision Care. Eric has served as a volunteer at Kids Cafe, Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, and the Ronald McDonald House. Eric is passionate about helping those in need in the communities in which we live.
Elizabeth Tuck
Elizabeth S. Tuck is the founder of The Tuck Firm, LLC (formerly the Loring Law Office, LLC). Elizabeth has focused exclusively on employment law for over 18 years. She advises employees and employers on all aspects of employment law in the public and private sector. Elizabeth has litigated over 90 employment matters in state and federal court, including class actions and appeals, and has successfully resolved hundreds of employment–related disputes outside of litigation.
